All CYC kits come with a motor, battery, charger, battery cradle, larger Intuition display, throttle, 170mm cranks, extension wire, installation sheet, and display gimbal - everything needed for a complete conversion.
Features and benefits of the Bafang and CYC mid drive motors
  • With a mid drive motor, both you and the motor drive the chain and take advantage of the gearing during a downshift. Just like a car, when you come to a hill and downshift, both you and the motor spin faster which is advantageous for climbing.
  • The mid drive motor is mounted to the frame, between the wheels, which improves balance and makes tire changes easier.
  • Both Bafang and CYC have multiple power levels that are accessed by simply pressing a button.
  • Both systems come with a color display
Why Bafang350?
The Bafang350 is ideal for the active rider who wants additional power, reliability, and simplicity in a light weight package at an entry level price point. It is also a great option for those who have an internally geared hub and need more subdued power that won't stress out their hub. We start with a Bafang750 and detune it to 350W so the motor is not working nearly as hard as it was designed for.
We recommend the 48V/14Ah battery for the small frame and the 48V/17.5Ah for the large and XL frames but you can upgrade to the 52V/20Ah battery for the large and XL frames.
Why CYC?
The CYC Photon Gen 2 and X1 Pro Gen 4 are high end, high performance, and highly reliable systems that utilize the latest in motor technology.
  • The parameters on both motors can be programmed from your smart phone in a matter of seconds and utilize an open CANBUS system.
  • Both motors come standard with a throttle.
  • Both motors utilize a huge sprag clutch for durability and quiet operation.
  • The torque sensing and speed sensing combination on these motors is fantastic. The harder you pedal, the more the motor delivers. And the motors deliver massive amounts of power!
Why the Photon Gen 2?
The Photon Gen 2 can be set from 250W to 750W in Street mode with a max of 1800W in Race Mode. This motor is going to be more than enough for 90% of our customers.
Why the X1 Pro Gen 4?
The X1 Pro Gen 4 can be set from 350W to 750W in Street mode with a max of 2400W in Race Mode. It is a beast! I can go up my driveway at about 30mph and without the motor I have to walk the bike. This is the perfect motor for someone who has significant physical limitations, who is over 250 pounds, and/or who lives in extreme hills. Or, if you are like me, and just want to know you have the maximum power at your fingertips - the X1 is the motor for you!
For large or XL bikes, the X1 only comes with the 52V/20Ah battery. For a small size Day 6, you need to order the 48V/14Ah.

Mid Drive Benefits

  • Mid drive motor utilizes the gearing of the bike, allows you to change a flat without unplugging wires, and is low centered for improved balance.
  • The Bafang 350 is great for those who are active riders and want minimal weight but still want to zip up hills or have an extra boost.

 

 

Bottom Bracket Info

  • 350W motors have a 68mm shaft that fits a 2 5/8″ bottom bracket shell.  This motor fits Dreams, Journeys, Patriots, and older model Samsons.

 

 

 

 

 

Battery Info

  • Batteries come in 14 amp hour and 17.5 amp hour (Large and XL only).
  • 14Ah battery gets about 40 miles on the flat with no pedaling at 17mph.
  • 17.5Ah battery gets about 50 miles.
  • Battery case by Reention locks to the frame with a key.
