If you have a standard Day 6 and are thinking about going electric, you may want to keep your bike, convert it to electric, and save some money.  
For lighter riders traveling on flat to rolling hills we offer the Bafang 350W mid drive motor.  
For heavier riders or those riding in steeper hills, we offer the Bafang 750 HD mid drive motor. 
For those wanting maximum power in a light weight package plus a throttle, ride app, and torque sensing we are excited to offer the 750W CYC Photon mid drive motor.  
For those wanting insane power, torque sensing, throttle, a ride app, and 750W to 2500W of power we offer the CYC X1 Gen 4 mid drive motor.

CYC Motors: Photon and X1-Gen4
These are high-performance, high power, high quality, light weight mid drive motors with the following features and benefits:

1. Mid drive design utilizes the gearing of the bike, allows you to change a tire without unplugging wires, and places motor in a low, centered position for optimal weight distribution.  
2. 9 power levels are controlled by pressing a button.
3. Super intuitive torque sensing delivers power on every stroke and MORE power as you crank harder.
4. User friendly app allows you to change motor, throttle, and pedal assist  parameters on your smartphone with the swipe of a finger. 
5. Color display OR use your smartphone as the display for a larger viewing area. 
6. Very clean and easy to install.  
7. No shift sensor required due to torque sensing feature.
8. Throttle is standard.  
9. Exceptional quality and overall design.  

CYC Photon
-  750 watts of power and 110 Nm of torque in a package that weighs just 9 pounds.
-  Choice of 34, 38, 42, and 50 tooth chainrings.  We recommend the 42 for most people for a good balance between speed and climbing.  
-  This motor can be tuned down by the user to 250W, 350W, or whatever you want so it could be used on a Journey with the Nexus internally geared hub or in a country with motor limits.  

CYC X1-Gen4
-  750 watts to 2500 watts of power using our 52V/20Ah UL approved battery (up to 5000 watts using a 72V battery with max torque of 280Nm) and over 200Nm of torque - you decide how much you want.  
- Insane amounts of power in a package that weighs just over 12 pounds.  
- Great for heavier riders, those riding extreme hills, and/or those with physical limitations.  
-Choice of 32, 38, or 40 tooth chainrings.  With this power, we recommend the 38 for most people for a good balance between speed and climbing.

Mid Drive Benefits

  • Mid drive motor utilizes the gearing of the bike, allows you to change a flat without unplugging wires, and is low centered for improved balance.
  • The Bafang 350 is great for those who are active riders and want minimal weight but still want to zip up hills or have an extra boost.
  • The Bafang 750HD is for a heavier rider, those riding steep hills or whose health requires extra assist, or for those who just want to zoom up the hill!

Bottom Bracket Info

  • 350W motors have a 68mm shaft that fits a 2 5/8″ bottom bracket shell.  This motor fits Dreams, Journeys, Patriots, and older model Samsons.
  • 750W HD motors come with two different shaft lengths.  The 68mm shaft fits the same bikes as the 350W motor above, while the 100mm shaft fits a 3 3/4″ bottom bracket shell found on Behemoths and newer Samsons.

 

Battery Info

  • Batteries come in 14 amp hour and 17.5 amp hour (Large and XL only).
  • 14Ah battery gets about 40 miles on the flat with no pedaling at 17mph.
  • 17.5Ah battery gets about 50 miles.
  • Battery case by Reention locks to the frame with a key.
